This is a splendid Art Nouveau front-shop! It is so rare now to find this sort of thing now!
Is it listed?
I have no idea whether it’s listed or not. I sincerely hope it is.
The historical Bijou in Rua da Conceição 😉 I read a document of the city hall about it but I didn’t find any stating about Bijou as a listed building. Initially, this building was a bookstore/stationery (1910). Only in 1915 became a “retrosaria” (haberdashery). In 1922, the grandfather of the current owner took the leadership of the store and Bijou achieved its Golden Age after WWII. I must go back there in my next visit to Lisbon.
The picture also shows us the typical Portuguese sidewalks. We called it “Calçada Portuguesa”.
