Muna started her blog because she saw there is not much information about Paraguay around. It’s a great resource for anyone to learn more about this friendly South American country.
As well as a lot of practical information for if you are planning to visit Paraguay, there are also some useful tips on Paraguayan culture. For example, as in Argentina, Uruguay and other parts of South America Paraguayans say ‘vos’ instead of ‘tu’ to mean ‘you’.
There are more useful insights on the famous ‘hora Paraguaya‘ (Paraguayan time) – in Paraguay a date is not a date unless you call (sometimes twice!) to confirm and it is normal to arrive at least one hour late. Have a look in the archives for many more stories.
Paraguay is one of the only country in Latin America we haven’t been to, mostly because of the visa restriction and also, to be honest, because of its not-so-good reputation.
I’m still curious about it though!
Well maybe that will be a good excuse for another trip in the future 🙂
