Picture Postcards: a baby shower in Texas

One of our Contributing Editors, Carrie, has just had a baby! So, the Pocketcultures team have been thinking about baby things around the world and thought it would be interesting to see some of them. Our first photo is of a baby shower, a party to honour the mother and baby just before his or her arrival. It was taken by our Contributing Editor, Ana, in Texas, USA. We were wondering how common this kind of party is. Do you have baby showers in your country?
