Vegan with a Mauritius twist

April 15, 2009 Comments disabled ,

Mauritius (sometimes called Ile Maurice) is an island in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Its inhabitants are very diverse – they originally came from India, Africa, China and Europe – and Mauritian food reflects this.

Vegan Lovlie is not a typical Mauritian food blog, because it is written by a vegan. As author ‘Lovliebutterfly’ writes, Mauritius is not the easiest place to be vegan. However the blog is full of interesting variations on traditional food, and of course the cultural diversity of the island is not lost.
