The Nata Village blog was set up two years ago and aims to raise awareness for the African way of life and the needs of the village – according to the founders donations to Africa often do not reach remote parts of Botswana like Nata. In particular HIV/AIDS is having a devastating effect on the people living in the village, which has a population of just 5000.
Since then the site has brought attention from all over the world to the village of Nata. The main focus is on AIDS/HIV prevention and treatment activities, but there are also many stories and photos showing Nata’s people, their customs and how they live. In the picture local school children are enjoying the chance to play with pens and paper after a donation of supplies.
