The 50 states project is a collaboration from photographers in 50 different states of the USA. Every two months they will post a photo from their state: the photos will be linked with a common theme.

The first theme was ‘people’. The result was a set of portraits from all over the USA, which you can see here.

It’s an interesting project because it’s easy to think of America as one country whereas in fact there are huge differences between different states. That’s what these photos try to capture.
