Family and photography in Kuwait

Read the smart and engaging BuYousef (Yousef’s dad) and you will get to peek at life in Kuwait.

Mohammad, as he is also known, likes photography and takes his camera almost everywhere. So there are plenty of photos of Kuwait and the other places his business takes him, both Middle East and further afield.

Ziboy: the boy from Beijing

Ziboy is a Chinese photoblog by Beijing based photographer Wen Ling.

The blog shows photos of Chinese people in all kinds of everyday situations: at home, out at parties, on the street, laughing, working, talking, eating, smoking… It provides a window on life in China that many visitors do not see.

The story of Ziboy is remarkable – inspired by New York photoblogs Wen Ling decided to set up one of his own in 2001. At the time he was not a professional photographer, in fact displaying his photos on Ziboy.com led to his first professional job.

See Paris with a new photo every day

More than 3 years ago Eric had the idea of posting one photo every day of his town, Paris. His blog ParisDailyPhoto now contains hundreds of photos taken all over Paris.

There are famous monuments, exhibitions, even a peep inside a Parisian flat. It’s a great way to discover the city, especially as with each photo Eric explains some aspect of the many facets of Parisian life.

This original idea has inspired many other people to create daily photo sites of their towns. The City Daily Photo network now counts more than 680 photo blogs from all over the world. Impressive!

Deserchobi: photos of Bangladesh

Ahmed Sharif is an avid traveller and photographer from Dhaka. Deserchobi (the name means ‘photos from back home’) is a photo-documentary of his travels around his homeland Bangladesh. A nice way to discover this beautiful and fascinating country.
