How did we get this far without mentioning any blogs from Canada? Maybe because there are so many good ones to choose from, it was hard to make a decision.
Probably fittingly for such a multi-cultural country, our first Canadian entry is written by a foreigner in Canada. Zhu (aka Juliette - she’s French) lives in Ottowa and has been in Canada for 6 years.
In Correr es mi Destino she writes about immigrating, adapting to life in Canada and her ideas of what defines Canada and Canadians, amongst other stories.

If you need another reason to visit, this week Zhu is running a blogging advice contest on her blog. Go there and see for more details.

Ahmed Sharif is an avid traveller and photographer from Dhaka. Deserchobi (the name means ‘photos from back home’) is a photo-documentary of his travels around his homeland Bangladesh. A nice way to discover this beautiful and fascinating country.

Melinda moved to Florence three years ago, and writes about her Italian experiences in Living in Florence. Read it and you will be transported to the streets of this beautiful European city.
She loves exploring Florence and the surrounding region, but also writes about daily life, such as Sunday lunch with her Italian in-laws. Each post contains a sprinkling of Italian words (with translation), so you will pick up some Italian too!

In India Uncut, journalist Amit Varma provides acerbic commentary on a range of current Indian and world topics. He has a knack of picking out the most interesting and sometimes surreal-sounding anecdotes from the Indian and world press.
As well as taking a look at what’s going on inside India, it’s also an opportunity to catch a glimpse of an Indian perspective on the world.
