Nata Village in Botswana

The Nata Village blog was set up two years ago and aims to raise awareness for the African way of life and the needs of the village - according to the founders donations to Africa often do not reach remote parts of Botswana like Nata. In particular HIV/AIDS is having a devastating effect on the people living in the village, which has a population of just 5000.

The main focus is on AIDS/HIV prevention and treatment activities, but there are also many stories and photos showing Nata’s people, their customs and how they live. In the picture local school children are enjoying the chance to play with pens and paper after a donation of supplies.

  • MMMiii!

konata-pokepoke.gifLife with a 20-something IT support technician from the Philippines in MMMiii! (try saying that out loud, she suggests).

Mi joins the globalisation discussion in her latest post, where she mentions how some customers she deals with prefer to be answered by agents in the USA instead of the Philippines or other countries. As long as you do the job and solve the problem, Mi says, it shouldn’t matter where you’re located. Unfortunately, some customers don’t feel this way.

The site has an Asian feel and Mi decorates her posts with animated Manga cartoons images such as the one above.
